MANOR PARK GRAMMAR SCHOOL

HOME HISTORY ARCHIVE GALLERY THE WHEEL BOOK

Sixty years ago

Since 1956 the strong arms of the commerce department under Mr. Fulford, had produced ten editions of 'the Wheel'.  Every other term 50 pages, or so, were printed on the hand-cranked duplicating machine for around 750 staff and pupils.

But for number 17, Summer 1963, professional printers were engaged to produce the 26 page edition.  Over half the magazine was occupied by prose and poetry contributed from across the school.  At the back were two pages of advertisements, which helped to defray the production costs.
